About Us

CHT crane

CHT Crane Service, LLC provides tree care companies with crane/grapplesaw-assisted tree removals.  In addition, we strive to continue to help better the tree care industry by example and through education.

In 2016 a knuckleboom crane was added to Climb High Tree Service’s equipment, and two years later was upgraded to a new crane and grapplesaw attachment.  Using this highly-specialized equipment enabled Bryan and Julie to vastly improve safety and efficiency while removing trees, especially those dead or hazardous.  In 2022 Climb High Tree Service was acquired by Bartlett Tree Experts; this was not an easy decision, but it enabled the transition to offering knuckleboom crane/grapplesaw services to other tree care companies and CHT Crane Service, LLC began.

Bryan is a TCIA Crane Operator Specialist, a National Center for Construction Education & Research Certified Crane Operator (NCCER Cert. #21255242), and a National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators Certified Articulating Crane Operator (CCO ID: 555354309).

As an ISA Certified Arborist®, Bryan cannot, and will not, participate in anything considered an unacceptable pruning practice by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and the American National Standards Institute A300; this includes topping cuts or large diameter trunk wounds.  Additionally, AZ133 Safety Requirements for Arboricultural Operations must be adhered to for the entire duration CHT Crane Service is on the work site.  This includes, but is not limited to, all personnel on the jobsite to wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) – head protection (helmet) that conforms to ANSI 789.1, hearing protection, eye protection in compliance with ANSI Z87.1, and cut-resistant leg protection while operating a chain saw during ground operations.  We encourage anyone with any questions about either the ANSI A300 pruning standards or AZ133 safety standards to please reach out to us.

Bryan K. Weaver, ISA Certified Arborist® PD-1428A, president of CHT Crane Service, knew he wanted to pursue a career that allowed him to be outside as much as possible.  A graduate from Penn State Mt. Alto in 1998 with a degree in Forest Technology, Bryan worked as a climber/ground crew for Skyline Tree Service until 2002, when he started Climb High Tree Service.

Julie S. Weaver, ISA Certified Arborist® PD-2845A, QCL, joined the “tree world” by default when she married Bryan in 2012. In fact, she had to climb 75 feet up a tree in Mt. Gretna to answer the very important question that Sealed The Deal!  Outside of taking care of the business aspects of CHT Crane Service, LLC she is a full-time educator.
