Schedule/Booking

Use the booking calendar below to view our availability and select/book an available day.

Select a “green” available date on the calendar. If you are looking for half day be sure to check the “pale green” days for partial availabilities. After selecting the day fill out the form below the calendar. You can select a full day time slot or a morning/afternoon time slots. You will be invoiced for the full cost/timeframe of your booking, even if CHT finishes the job(s) ahead of schedule. Overages will be added to the invoice if they occur (overtime or surcharges that were not selected). The exceptions to this is the time & material afternoon bookings where the booking amount shown may not be reached or if mats/cribbing were not actually used on the job.

Our preference is one client per day (however it can be multiple jobs/locations). If a job location is within 50 minutes of our shop we do accept half day jobs, but would greatly prefer a full day to be booked if at all possible (by combining multiple jobs, etc.).

Saturdays work is available, but have a higher rate associated with them.

  • Jobsite Information

    * Jobsite Address(es): (Please mention if multiple locations are planned, even if you don't have the address yet)

    1).

    2).

    3).

    * Crane arrival time to the jobsite (preferably 8:00 am): (Gives you time to prep the site for my arrival and school/work has started, less cars/traffic around the jobsite)

    * Distance from setup location to the tree(s):
Click triangle to expand the details
    • Max horizontal distance for medium sized trunk picks = 67' - 1,819 lbs capacity (1,273 lbs for tree work).
    • Max horizontal distance for small brush picks = 81' - 1,356 lbs capacity (900 lbs for tree work).
    • At 72 feet away from crane rotation point, my max reach is 75 feet vertical. With a capacity of 1,642 lbs (1,149 lbs for tree work)
    • Max vertical angle is 80 degrees, about 15' from crane rotation. At 80 degrees and fully extended (105 feet) capacity is 1,102 lbs (771 lbs for tree work).
    • Tree work lifts should target for 70% of full capacity.
    • Capacity ratings do not include the 600 lbs for the sawhead.
    • See more details here --> chart/diagram

    * Will the spar(s) be flopped once they are grapplesawed to 18" in diameter, or will the spar(s) need to be lifted via crane slings:

    * Additional Notes: (Total number of trees to be removed, Tree species, Tree's general location on the property and tree species, Line drop or power shut off job, Other potential concerns/problems, etc.)

    • Bartlett Tree - target ratio or hours split between the job locations, for invoicing purposes.
    • Allows me to "stalk" the job on google maps, so I am not coming in completely blind on the job. Might also allow me to address concerns about the job, prior to arriving.

To keep my base price low for easy trees/setups but yet account for more advanced trees/setups, which have higher risks to the crane or to the property, there is a surcharge for the scenarios below. Since most surcharges are daily, avoid multi-day bookings if the surcharge only applies to a single day.

    Surcharge Items

    * Is the setup location on grass/dirt: (Truck weighs 53,000 lbs...26.5 tons)
Click triangle to expand the details
    • The truck and outriggers should have a 1:1 set back from basements and retaining walls.
    • Example: For 6 feet of depth, I should stay 6 feet away from the wall with the truck or outrigger pads
    • Truck will not cross or setup on any septic field, and all field/tank locations have been verified with the homeowner
    • Increased risk due to: more stability issues after setup, sliding/getting stuck, higher potential of underground voids, often less even terrian, etc

    NoYes ($100/day)

Additional mats requested: (ten 3'x8' mats are free with our service = a truck length)
Click triangle to expand the details
      • 18 additional mats are available...but they need to be loaded on the truck before leaving the shop.
      • 4x8 mats are best if not driving in a completely straight line.
      • All mats - allows the crane to travel 112 feet without leap frogging the mats.
      • Only charged if the extra mats are pulled off the truck

    * Setup is on a slope over 5 degrees (8% slope or a 25" rise/fall over 24', or there is a +2' ditch/dropoff within the outrigger footprint)
Click triangle to expand the details
    • To determine if I need to bring along extra cribbing/supplies, beyond what I always have on the truck. All tires must be touching the ground or on cribbing.
    • 7 degrees is my max angle at this time. Anything more than a 7 degree slope will likely require extensive cribbing/ramp building to multiple axles.
    • 1 degree equals a raise of about 5 inches for the front or back of my truck.
    • With the truck at 5 degrees (the working limit of the truck), I don't want to be fully stretching out and/or reaching a far distance perpendicular to the slope. Both scenerios put a lot of side deflection on my boom
    • See more details here --> Slope Chart

    NoYes ($200/day)

    * High Risk work or Insurance work (Regular schedule work)
    • CHT Crane maintains the right to add this amount to a job location/invoice, if the tree(s) fits the High Risk guidelines
    • Click triangle to expand the details
    • Tree(s) is laying on a structure
    • Tree(s) that are unclimbable or unriggable, due to the structural integrity of the tree. Relatively small trees dont qualify unless in a high target zone.
    • RV Campgrounds - if we are using the grapplesaw above RVs/trailers. All RV/trailers should be moved from worksite, if possible.
    • Jobs where you increased your own price due to the hazard nature, scope of the work, or tree's location
    • If your booking is for multiple locations/trees, half day can be selected if only one part of the day is High Risk

    NoFull day ($200/day)Half day ($100)

    * Grapplesaw work can be a dynamic operation, and there is always some potential for small limbs—especially deadwood—to break and fall during the process. It is the responsibility of the tree company to protect, cover, or remove any landscape lighting, driveway lighting, skylights, irrigation components, drainage components, or other fragile items located beneath the tree canopy or within the work area. CHT will make every reasonable effort to minimize falling debris when structures or delicate items are present; however, CHT is not responsible for covering, protecting, or safeguarding these items. If you would normally protect such items while rigging a dead tree manually, CHT expects the same level of preparation when our equipment is brought to the jobsite.
    * CHT is not responsible for any driveway, lawn, irrigation system, or underground drainage system damage resulting from the weight of the truck or from operational activities when you request or require us to leave the roadway/street and operate on surfaces of unknown construction or load‑bearing capacity..
    * As a certified arborist‑owned company, CHT will not perform any work that violates ANSI A300 Pruning Standards and strongly encourages all personnel on site to adhere to ANSI Z133 Safety Standards.

    * By submitting this form: I acknowledge that I have read and understand all the notes and details provided. I agree to abide by them and accept all my entries, selections, timeframes, and the associated costs.
