Jobsite Information

*Select type of Service: (visit Crane Rates for details).

Bringing the container for wood (versus the contractor flatbed) greatly reduces the amount of mats, cribbing, spare parts, and equipment I can bring with me to the jobsite. If I am hauling wood it must be to a dumping location that is close to the jobsite, or to your tree company's shop location. Any dumping fees will be added to the above cost. Container size is 12' long x 5' high x 8' wide. You must request/mention if you want mulitiple loads picked up from the jobsite, otherwise I will only do one load before returning to my shop.

*Select a full day or half day rate: (Half day rate must be within 50 minutes of shop. Total time is based on port to port, not just onsite time. Click to see an estimated service range map )

*Jobsite Address(es): (Please mention if multiple locations are planned, even if you don't have the address yet)

*Start Time At Location (preferably 8:00 am): (Gives you time to prep the site for my arrival and school/work has started, less cars/traffic around the jobsite)

Distance from setup location to the tree(s): (Max horizontal distance for trunk picks = 65'. Max horizontal distance for brush picks = 80'. See chart/diagram here.)

Setup is on a slope over 5 degrees (8% slope or a 3' rise/fall over 34'), or there is a ditch within the outrigger footprint:

  • To determine if I need to bring along extra cribbing. All tires must be touching the ground or on cribbing.
  • 7 degrees (12% slope or a 4' rise/fall over 34') is about the max without doing an extensive cribbing/ramp building setup.
  • Example: For a 7 degree slope I would have to ramp up one end of the truck by 1 foot, to get within my 5 degrees of level to operate. Any higher would require ramping more than one axle.
  • No additional cribbing can be hauled when hauling wood.
  • NoYes

Setup location is on grass/dirt: (Truck weighs 53,000 lbs...26.5 tons)

  • The truck and outriggers should have a 1:1 set back for basements and retaining walls.
  • Example: For 6 feet of depth, I should stay 6 feet away from the wall with the truck or outrigger pads
  • Truck will not cross or setup on any septic field, and all field/tank locations have been verified with the homeowner
  • NoYes

Additional mats requested: (ten 3'x8' mats are free with our service = a truck length)

  • 18 additional mats are available...but they need to be loaded on the truck before leaving the shop.
  • 4x8 mats are best if not driving in a completely straight line.
  • Only 3'x8' mats can be hauled when hauling wood.
  • All mats - allows the crane to travel 112 feet without leap frogging the mats.
  • Pricing - 3x8 mats are $6/mat, 4x8 mats are $8/mat.

  • Additional Notes: (Tree's general location on the property and tree species, Line drop or power shut off job, Other potential concerns/problems, etc.)

  • Bartlett Tree - target ratio or hours split between the job locations, for invoicing purposes.
  • Estimated total cost = $0
